Blake Tollison Shelton is an American country singer, songwriter, and television personality born on June 18, 1976. He made his music debut in 2001 with the single Austin, which served as the lead-off single from his self-titled debut album and spent five weeks at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His debut album achieved Platinum certification and also generated two additional top 20 entries with All Over Me and Ol Red. Initially released on Giant Records Nashville, he transitioned to Warner Bros. Records Nashville following the closure of Giant in late 2001. His subsequent releases included his second album, The Dreamer, in 2003, and his third album, Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill, in 2004, which earned gold and platinum certifications, respectively.
