His film and television credits include Ruby in Paradise, The Man in the Moon, The Wonder Years, Conviction, Susie Q, Meatballs 4, Demonic Toys, and Shark Attack. In addition, Bentley Mitchum became the first American actor to play a lead role in an Indian Tamil film, starring in Little John opposite Jyothika. He comes from an acting family, being the grandson of actor Robert Mitchum, the son of actor Christopher Mitchum, and the nephew of actor James Mitchum. He made his acting debut alongside them in the television movie Promises to Keep, in which the family members portrayed characters with corresponding relationships.
