Ansel Elgort is an American actor born on March 14, 1994, in Manhattan, New York. He began his acting career with a supporting role in the horror film Carrie in 2013. Elgort gained wider recognition for starring in the romantic drama film The Fault in Our Stars and for his supporting role in The Divergent Series. He also played the title character in the action thriller Baby Driver, and received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his performance. Elgort has appeared in other notable films, including The Goldfinch and the 2021 film version of West Side Story, in which he played the lead role of Tony.
