He was most famous for his role as Jon "Dutch" Vander, also known as Gold Leader, in Star Wars, and as the former hockey great Jean "Rosey" LaRose in the comedy Strange Brew. His other notable film appearances included playing a corrupt policeman in Witness and a gangster seeking stolen cocaine in Atlantic City. On television, he appeared as Sonny in the BBC Scotland soap River City. Angus MacInnes passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 77.
