Biography
Andrei Sergeyevich Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky is a Russian filmmaker, screenwriter, actor, producer, and director. Born in Moscow on 20 August 1937, he is the son of writer Sergey Mikhalkov and the brother of filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov. Konchalovsky studied for ten years at the Moscow Conservatory. He has collaborated with filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky and has received numerous accolades for his work, including the Cannes Grand Prix Spécial du Jury, a FIPRESCI Award, two Silver Lions, three Golden Eagle Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award.
