Ana de la Reguera is a Mexican actress born on April 8, 1977, in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. She grew up in the tropical state of Veracruz on the Gulf Coast of Mexico. Her performance arts studies began at the Cultural Institute of Veracruz before she moved to Mexico City to attend Televisa's Center for Artistic Education and TV Azteca's artistic institute. She furthered her studies in Los Angeles with Lisa Robertson and Aaron Spicer, and in Spain with acting coach Juan Carlos Corzza. In theater, she participated in El Cartero, also known as Il Postino, earning a Best Actress award from the Association of Theatre Journalists in Mexico and the Most Promising Actress award from the association.
