Biography
Adrien Nicholas Brody is an American actor born on April 14, 1973, in Woodhaven, Queens, New York. He is the son of history professor Elliot Brody and photographer Sylvia Plachy. Brody studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Queens College. He is known for his portrayal of Wladyslaw Szpilman in the 2002 war drama The Pianist, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor at age 29, becoming the youngest actor to win in that category. He also received a Cesar Award for the role. His filmography includes appearances in The Thin Red Line, The Village, King Kong, and The Brutalist. Brody has received various accolades, including two Academy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.
