Pierre gained recognition for his role as Dev-Em in the science fiction series Krypton, which ran from 2018 to 2019. His subsequent television credits include portraying Malcolm X in the miniseries Genius and starring in the period drama miniseries The Underground Railroad in 2021. In film, Pierre appeared in the thriller movies Old in 2021 and Rebel Ridge in 2024. Additionally, he provided the voice of Mufasa in Mufasa: The Lion King.
