Overview

Goat is a 2026 American animated sports comedy film that depicts the journey of a young goat who aspires to become a professional athlete. The story follows a small goat named Will Harris, voiced by Caleb McLaughlin, who aims to be the greatest of all time in the high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport known as roarball. This sport is described as a basketball-like game played by the fastest and fiercest animals in the world in dangerous, ever-changing environments. As the protagonist attempts to join the professional ranks, he works to revitalize a legendary team and demonstrate that his small stature does not hinder his performance. Directed by Tyree Dillihay and co-directed by Adam Rosette, the film was written by Aaron Buchsbaum and Teddy Riley. Development began by 2019, followed by an official announcement in May 2024. The film premiered in Los Angeles on February 6, 2026, and received a wide release in the United States by Sony Pictures Releasing on February 13, 2026.
