Ian King’s career did not start in journalism, but in finance, as a business analyst at Midland Bank (now HSBC). He then moved into journalism in 1994, working as a reporter for The Daily Telegraph.
Ian later held senior roles at The Guardian, Mail on Sunday, The Sun (as business editor), and The Times (as business and city editor), earning numerous accolades, including Business Journalist of the Year at the UK Press Awards and at the London Press Club Awards.
He has interviewed everyone from FTSE-100 CEOs, three Governor of the Bank of England, and global Prime Ministers.
After joining Sky New in 2014, their head of news John Ryley noted, “Ian’s credentials are impeccable. He is a powerhouse in business journalism, and I know he will make a real impact with our viewers”.
