Filip Nguyen and his dream-like love story with his beautiful wife
Filip Nguyen – born in 1992, goalkeeper of mixed Vietnamese and Czech descent – is one of four “keepers” summoned by coach Philippe Troussier to attend the tournament. Asian Cup 2023.
Besides his football talent, he is noted for his height of 1.92m, handsome face and having a dreamlike love story with his beautiful wife.
Filip Nguyen made his debut for the Vietnamese team in the opening match against Japan on the evening of January 14. In the stands of Al Thumama Stadium (Qatar), the 31-year-old goalkeeper received special cheers from his mother, wife and son. While Ms. Eva Vodičková – Filip Nguyen’s mother – flew over from the Czech Republic, his wife and children were in Vietnam. The goalkeeper’s wife chose simple clothes, no elaborate makeup, but still attracted attention thanks to her good looks.
Aneta Nguyen also has a Vietnamese father and a Czech mother like Filip Nguyen. The two first met in 2016 at a gym. At that time, Aneta worked as a part-time employee here, and Filip was a guest who came to practice.
After just the first look, Aneta noticed the Vietnamese features on the handsome goalkeeper’s face. That makes her find it interesting because she also has half Vietnamese blood in her. As for Filip, he also realized that Aneta was not 100% Czech. He proactively started a conversation with the pretty girl and “smitten” her right in that moment.
It took Filip 2 months for Aneta to accept being his girlfriend. At first, he did not tell his lover that he was a professional football player. But even when revealed later, Aneta still thought Filip played football as a hobby. While dating, the couple traveled to many places together, including Vietnam.
When their relationship became intimate, Filip and Aneta brought each other home to meet their families. At that time, they were startled to discover that Filip’s father knew Aneta’s grandfather. They both lived in Hai Phong and were neighbors. Both were a bit scared because they didn’t know if they were relatives or not.
In December 2019, after 3 years of being together, Filip proposed to Aneta. A year later, the couple welcomed their first son.
After his son turned one year old, Filip Nguyen and his wife held a wedding in August 2021. The Vietnamese-born goalkeeper once shared that his wife is his companion not only in life but also in training. When quarantined due to the Covid-19 epidemic, Aneta helped her other half improve her exercises to maintain her form.
After joining the Hanoi Police Club in the middle of the 2023 V-League season, Filip Nguyen brought his wife and son to live in Vietnam since August 2013. During the club’s launch, the goalkeeper revealed that his decision to return to Vietnam came from the fact that he wanted his son to know about the origins of both parents.
Because they are both overseas Vietnamese, Filip and Aneta did not have many difficulties adapting to the culture and lifestyle of Vietnam. The most difficult thing for the wife of the goalkeeper born in 1992 is the hot weather. She often takes her son to the stadium to cheer her husband on.
Besides training and competing, Filip Nguyen tries to spend as much time as possible with his wife and children. He often shows off photos of the most important people to him on his personal page with sweet words. When we have time, the whole family goes sightseeing and traveling.
Filip Nguyen brought his wife and children to attend the wedding of teammate Doan Van Hau in Hanoi in November 2023. The small family also created a social network account to save happy moments together.
Filip Nguyen’s father is Vietnamese and his mother is from the Czech Republic. He grew up at the training center of Sparta Prague Club, became famous in the shirt of Slovan Liberec Club and won the title of best goalkeeper in the Czech Republic national championship in the 2018-2019 season.
The overseas Vietnamese goalkeeper was called up to the Czech Republic team to prepare for the qualifying round World Cup 2022 but cannot compete.
In December 2023, Filip Nguyen officially obtained Vietnamese citizenship after nearly 10 years of trying to complete the procedures. Thanks to that, he was able to fulfill his dream of contributing to the Vietnamese national team.
