This is a collaboration with the amazing illustrator Yann Valber (https://yannvalber.com). When Yann posted this art I got in love with the dynamic feeling it provokes, showing the explosive and colorful shapes contrast and intersect with each other. I reached out to Yann asking if I could animate this and from there I started sketching ideas on how these shapes could develop after the explosion moment. Yann helped me with additional styleframes that made the difference on how this turned out.
The phrase “Fico triste com uma notícia dessas” means “I’m saddened by news like this” in Portuguese-BR, and it’s used to ironically celebrate news that could seem bad to some people, but not for you (like your ex-president being officially charged to plan a military coup in your country 👌)
