The Indices put in slight new highs today on mediocre internals. They are anticipating an interest rate decrease from the Fed on Wednesday. This may be one of those times, you “buy the rumor, and sell the news”. Personally, I don’t like trading in and around Fed announcements, so I will sit on my hands until the announcement is over and I see the Market’s reaction. The previous day’s high and low are support and resistance during a time like this.
