On December 13, the leader of the People’s Committee of Vinh Xuan commune (Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province) said that in the commune, a man tragically died after using gasoline to self-immolate.
The victim was identified as Mr. TTN (born 1955, residing in Lai The Thuong residential group, Huong Vinh ward, Hue city).

According to initial information, on December 12, Mr. TTN went to Xuan Thien Ha village, Vinh Xuan commune. Here, Mr. N suddenly doused himself with gasoline and then set himself on fire, leading to his death.
Upon receiving the news, the authorities quickly arrived to protect the scene, conduct an autopsy and investigate to clarify the cause of the incident.
According to people in Vinh Xuan commune, because he is originally from this commune, Mr. N occasionally returns to the locality to visit relatives.
Currently, the authorities have handed over the victim’s body to the family to take care of the funeral.
