Cat’s out of the bag! This year at Momocon I had the honor of performing live with CLOUDSAVE, the folks behind this live band rendition of Abstraction. I loved the arrangement so much we got them to record it in the studio, and after a few months of organizing this video and getting Amanda Hufford on the track and Michael Kovach to record some updated lines – here we are!

THE MERRY-GO-ROUND | The Amazing Digital Circus Song! ENDING A

Roll up, roll up! It’s the much-requested ‘The Amazing Digital Circus’ song! A show about bunch of people trapped in a circus-themed VR game with a sinister undertone? This was inevitable really…
I’ve been a bit reluctant to do songs about animations and TV shows in the past, not just because video games are my comfortable niche, but because part of the fun is taking the world of the video game and trying to recreate it in live-action or animation. I was worried that an animation about… well, an animation, wouldn’t be particularly transformative, and might seem just like a worse version of the original media. But I hope you’ll agree that the talented team at @HibernateStudios knocked it out the park and made something that fits beautifully into the world of TADC!
You may know Hibernate from their Minecraft animations for @danbull and they also did the CG portions of Divide! for us last year. If you love this video as much I do, be sure to hop over to their channel and let them know! I’d love to work with them again soon!
Thanks to the amazing TADC voice-actors that lended their voices to our silly little project, we’re thrilled to have them! But in case it wasn’t apparent from the self-insert character, that doesn’t make this an official TADC video – just a fan project.
