A cloud of suspicion surrounds the deaths of Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman and his wife. The 95-year-old legend and his wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead in their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Initial reports said no foul play was suspected and there was speculation they were killed by carbon monoxide poisoning. Now, their deaths are being called, “Suspicious enough in nature to require a thorough search and investigation.” Inside Edition’s Jim Moret has more.
Gene Hackman Found Dead: Oscar-winner Gene Hackman, his wife and one of their dogs were apparently dead for some time before a maintenance worker discovered their bodies at the couple’s Santa Fe home, according to investigators.
Hackman, 95, was found dead Wednesday in a mudroom and his 65-year-old wife, Betsy Arakawa, was found in a bathroom next to a space heater, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office detectives wrote in a search warrant affidavit. There was an open prescription bottle and pills scattered on a countertop near Arakawa.
