Indonesian newspapers are wary of Quang Hai and Van Toan
During preparations for the 2024 Asian Cup, the Vietnam National Team reluctantly had to say goodbye to 10 players due to injury. These names include Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Nguyen Tien Linh, Hoang Van Toan, Vu Van Thanh, Nguyen Thanh Chung, Do Duy Manh, Que Ngoc Hai, Dang Van Lam, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Nguyen Duc Chien.
According to Bola newspaper, the Vietnamese national team encountered “bad luck” when many pillars could not participate in the 2024 Asian Cup. However, that does not mean that the “Golden Star Warriors” will weaken, because in their hands Coach Philippe Troussier still owns a team of quality players.

Also according to Bola, midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai is the most dangerous player for the Vietnamese national team in the 2024 Asian Cup. Quang Hai is known as the “Lionel Messi of Southeast Asia”.
Quang Hai once played in France for Pau FC. After returning home to play for CAHN Club, the 26-year-old player has gradually regained his peak form. Since debuting for the Vietnam national team in 2017, “Hai Con” has scored 10 goals and had 5 assists in 53 appearances.
With a valuation of 300,000 euros by transfer site Transfermarkt, Quang Hai is also one of the most valuable players of the Vietnam national team at the 2024 Asian Cup.
In addition to Quang Hai, striker Nguyen Van Toan is also a dangerous spearhead in the Vietnamese national team’s attack. Bola newspaper said that the 27-year-old striker has many times caused difficulties for the Indonesian defense when the two sides encountered in the past.
According to the match schedule, Vietnam National Team will face Indonesia in the second match of Group D Asian Cup 2024 taking place on January 19. The “matching of swords” between Quang Hai and Van Toan will certainly cause trouble for the defense of the team in the land of thousands of islands.
