Striker Nguyen Dinh Bac practices privately
On the evening of January 17, Qatar time, the Vietnam National Team entered an important training session to develop fighting strategies and plan personnel for the match against Indonesia.
In this training session, coach Troussier could not have the services of Nguyen Dinh Bac. The striker born in 2004 has muscle pain and cannot participate in training with the whole team.
It is currently unclear whether or not the extent of this player’s injury will be recovered in time for the upcoming match against Indonesia. This is a decisive match for both teams to qualify for the group stage.
Dinh Bac impressed in Vietnam’s match against Japan on January 14.
Previously, in the opening match against Japan, Dinh Bac and Tuan Hai were the duo who scored for Vietnam. The star born in 2004 also received the highest score after the match.
Except for Dinh Bac’s case, the remaining members participated in joint training, instead of being divided into 2 groups as before. One of the most important exercises that coach Troussier gives is to deal with FFY Indonesia’s throw-in tricks like crosses.
In addition, the Vietnamese team also carefully prepares offensive tactics, hoping to create goals to defeat the team from ten thousand islands.
At the end of the training session, coach Philippe Troussier expressed satisfaction with the spirit of his students as well as the positive competitive atmosphere in the team.
This morning (January 18), the team will have a visit to Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium, where the match against Indonesia will take place. By the afternoon of the same day, coach Philippe Troussier and his team will complete the final preparations on the Al Rayyan training ground.
The encounter between Vietnam and Indonesia will take place at 9:30 p.m. on January 19. In the first round, the two teams lost to Japan and Iraq respectively and are not allowed to lose more if they want to keep their hopes of continuing.
