We’ve been dreaming of this trip for over a decade: 400km of low range through some of the most remote terrain in Australia and half of it might never have been driven before.
We’re going West to East – right across Cape York – kicking off in Pormpuraaw and heading deep into unknown territory. Bottomless black soil, brutal climbs, and tracks that have completely vanished. This one’s going to push us, and the rigs, to the absolute limit. 😳

This is a second-hand 2022 GXL LandCruiser with 35,000 km on the clock. It’s completely stock, just as it left the showroom… and yes, it’s Sandy Taupe.
Now, as a die-hard Nissan guy, Graham’s first impression of the 79? It’s the single worst value-for-money 4WD on the market. 💰 But many of you strongly disagree.
