Overview
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is a Japanese animated television series that aired from 2008 to 2011. Set in New Domino City, the show presents a futuristic version of the city once associated with legendary duelist Yugi Muto. The series introduces technological advancements by KaibaCorp that have transformed card dueling into a high-speed, adrenaline-fueled sport. Duelists ride specialized vehicles called Duel Runners and engage in fast-paced competitions known as Turbo Duels. The narrative explores more serious themes compared to its predecessors and depicts a society divided between the modern Neo Domino and the less fortunate Satellite sector. As a spin-off in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, it follows the adventures of new characters in this reimagined dueling world.
