WordGirl is an American animated children's television series that premiered on PBS Kids. The series is produced by the Soup2Nuts animation unit of Scholastic Entertainment. It began as a series of shorts entitled The Amazing Colossal Adventures of WordGirl. The show is a satirical yet educational animated series about a young girl who is secretly a superhero. The series features a plethora of madcap villains and scoundrels and aims to enrich viewers' vocabulary usage. WordGirl is armed with superhuman strength, abilities, and a skilled vocabulary. The show was created by Dorothea Gillim and Jack Ferraiolo and features the voices of Dannah Feinglass Phirman, Chris Parnell, Maria Bamford, and Ryan Raddatz.
