WordGirl is an American animated children's television series that premiered on PBS Kids. The series is produced by the Soup2Nuts animation unit of Scholastic Entertainment. It began as a series of shorts entitled The Amazing Colossal Adventures of WordGirl. The show is a satirical yet educational animated series about a young girl who is secretly a superhero. The series features a plethora of madcap villains and scoundrels and aims to enrich viewers' vocabulary usage. WordGirl is armed with superhuman strength, abilities, and a skilled vocabulary. The show was created by Dorothea Gillim and Jack Ferraiolo and features the voices of Dannah Feinglass Phirman, Chris Parnell, Maria Bamford, and Ryan Raddatz. The series is available to download and borrow from various online archives. WordGirl is a television series that combines entertainment and education for young viewers.
