Overview
Wolf's Rain is a Japanese anime television series created by writer Keiko Nobumoto and produced by the studio Bones. The series, which aired from 2003 to 2004, was directed by Tensai Okamura and featured character designs by Toshihiro Kawamoto, with a soundtrack produced and arranged by Yoko Kanno. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic future where humans reside in domed cities surrounded by a wasteland, and wolves are believed to have been extinct for two hundred years. In this world, Paradise is considered a myth. The narrative follows a lone white wolf named Kiba who wanders into a poverty-stricken city guided by the scent of Lunar Flowers. Kiba encounters other outcast wolves named Tsume, Hige, and Toboe. Brought together by fate, the group seeks out a figure known as the Flower Maiden, named Cheza. Her awakening signals the path to the end, as the wolves pursue their quest to find Paradise, a destination that is not meant for everyone.
