Wednesday is an American supernatural mystery comedy television series based on the character Wednesday Addams created by Charles Addams. The live-action show, which debuted on Netflix in 2022, was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The series stars Jenna Ortega as the titular character, with Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones appearing as her parents. The plot follows Wednesday Addams during her years as a student at Nevermore Academy. After being expelled from her previous school for retaliating against the boys' water polo team for bullying her brother Pugsley, she enrolls at the academy. While there, the smart and sarcastic protagonist attempts to master her emerging psychic ability. As she navigates her time at the school, she makes new friends and foes while investigating twisted mysteries. Her efforts include working to thwart a local killing spree and attempting to solve a mystery that previously embroiled her parents. The cast also includes Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, and Joy Sunday.
