Overview

We, also known by the Dutch title Wij, is a 2018 drama film written, directed, and co-produced by Rene Eller. The movie features a cast including Aime Claeys, Tijmen Govaerts, Pauline Casteleyn, and Maxime Jacobs. The story is set during a scorching summer in a village located on the Belgian-Dutch border. The plot follows eight teenagers, consisting of four boys and four girls, who are close friends. To break the listless monotony of their summer, the group engages in various games of discovery and challenges. These activities eventually escalate as their sexual curiosity begins to blur the lines between right and wrong. As the teenagers experiment with new ways to entertain themselves, their innocence is lost to depraved games and sexual exploitation. Ultimately, the group members transform into ruthless predators as their behavior degenerates into extreme actions. The film was released on January 27, 2018, at the International Film Festival.
