Synopsis
Tensions mount between the sons of Ragnar Lothbrok as the Vikings continue to threaten the very heart of England. As the Great Army moves to take York, with King Aethelwulf and his family still in hiding, Heahmund—the warrior bishop—must rally the Saxons to defend the Realm.

The historical drama television series Vikings, created and written by Michael Hirst for the History channel, follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok, described as a Viking warrior and farmer who yearned to explore, as well as the sagas of the greatest hero of his age. The series transports viewers to the brutal and mysterious world of Ragnar Lothbrok and depicts a society where most Vikings were farmers, fishermen, craftsmen, and traders with their own laws, art, and architecture.
