In this episode of the historical drama television series Vikings, created and written by Michael Hirst for the History channel, Ragnar struggles to crew his voyage to Wessex as Kattegat locals chide him that the gods have deserted him. In contrast, Bjorn now has charisma as he prepares to fulfill his long-held dream to explore the Mediterranean in a sleek new boat built for him by Floki. While Bjorn prepares his vessel, Ragnar must accept weathered boats and a crew that he has bribed. Meanwhile, Aslaug foresees that the fleet will be lost in a vicious storm, but her warnings go unheeded by both Ragnar and her precious son, Ivar. The series, which charts the exploits of Viking hero Ragnar Lothbrok as he extends the Norse reach by challenging an unfit leader, features a cast including Katheryn Winnick, Gustaf Skarsgard, Alexander Ludwig, and Georgia Hirst.
