Overview
Urusei Yatsura is a Japanese anime television series produced by David Production, based on the manga of the same name by Rumiko Takahashi. It is the second television adaptation of the manga, following the original 1981 series. The show is set in Tomobiki Town, Tokyo, and centers on Ataru Moroboshi, a high school student with a reputation as a womanizer. His life takes a bizarre turn when he encounters Lum, the princess of an invading alien race known as the Oni. Lum, smitten with Ataru, remains undeterred by his reluctance and persistent pursuit of other women. The series features a cast of eccentric characters including Shinobu, Sakura, Oyuki, Benten, Ran, Cherry, Ten, Shutaro Mendo, and Ryunosuke.
