Overview

Unter uns is a German television soap opera that premiered on RTL on 28 November 1994. The series focuses on the lives of residents living in a housing complex located on the fictional Schillerallee in Cologne. Since its debut, the show has centered around the Weigel family, who operate a bakery and serve as the core family of the series. Unlike some other German soaps, Unter uns is not based on a foreign format. It was the second daily soap opera produced for RTL, following Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten, and preceded by years the launch of Alles was zählt in 2006. The show achieved a milestone by airing its 3,500th episode on 30 December 2008.
