Overview
Transformers Prime is a computer-animated television series based on the Transformers toy franchise by Hasbro. The show premiered on The Hub network in 2010 and ran until 2013. It was created by Duane Capizzi, Jeff Kline, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci. The series features the heroic Autobots, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet, and Bulkhead, as they defend Earth from the evil Decepticons led by Megatron. In this continuation of the Transformers saga, the Autobots maintain a secret identity while living on Earth and are aided by three human teenagers. The show began with a five-part mini-series followed by multiple seasons of episodes. Transformers Prime has been recognized with multiple Daytime Emmy Awards. Voice actors include Peter Cullen, Sumalee Montano, Jeffrey Combs, and Frank Welker. The series focuses on an ongoing battle between the Autobots and Decepticons as both factions adapt to life on Earth and face new threats.
