Transformers: Energon is a television series that takes place in a time of peace on Cybertron and Earth. The show occurs ten years after the events of a previous series, Armada. In this era, the Autobots are facing a new array of adversaries. The villains in the series include Megatron, who has been reborn, Unicron, who is barely functional, and Alpha Q, who is accompanied by his Terrorcon minions. The Terrorcons are the minions of Alpha Q. The series sets the stage for a conflict that is destined not to last long. The show's storyline revolves around the Autobots' battles against these enemies.
