Overview

Tokyo Revengers is an anime television series based on the manga by Ken Wakui. The production is handled by Liden Films, with Koichi Hatsumi serving as director for the first three seasons and Maki Kodaira directing from the fourth season onwards. The narrative centers on Takemichi Hanagaki, a freelancer who feels his life has reached a point of despair. Upon learning that his former middle school girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, was killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang, Takemichi experiences a life-altering event at a train station. After being pushed onto the tracks, he finds himself transported twelve years into the past. Once back in his youth, Takemichi decides to change his life path and reckons with the eventual fate of his friends. By utilizing this opportunity to revisit his past, he attempts to prevent the unfortunate future he previously experienced. The series explores his efforts to alter these events and seek revenge on the circumstances of his life.
