The series follows the story of Nene Yashiro and her interactions with the ghost of Hanako-kun at Kamome Academy. Nene and Hanako-kun want to stay out of trouble, but they are often followed by shenanigans. The story takes a turn when an unforeseen event causes mayhem at the academy, and Nene and Kou Minamoto seek help from Hanako-kun to find those responsible.
