The Witches is a 2024 fantasy film that follows the story of a character named Mary. Set in a village, the narrative focuses on Mary as she struggles with the difficult conditions of her daily life. Because she is mute, she lives in constant fear of being falsely accused of witchcraft by the people around her. Seeking to escape the evil that permeates her environment, she eventually receives assistance from a character named Endora. Through this connection, Mary discovers a mysterious magical power that allows her to embrace her true destiny. The film has a runtime of 31 minutes and was released in Italy on October 28, 2024. While other films titled The Witches have faced public criticism regarding the portrayal of physical impairments, this specific 2024 production centers on Mary's personal journey of liberation and self-discovery as she moves away from the life she once knew in her village. The story highlights her transition from a state of fear to one of empowerment through the discovery of her own magical abilities.
