In the television series The Walking Dead, the episode After focuses on the aftermath of events at the prison. As Rick deals with old wounds, members of the prison have to come to terms with their new environment and ask themselves if survival alone is enough. The series itself is an American post-apocalyptic dramatic television series based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. The story follows a group of survivors in a world largely taken over by reanimated corpses, referred to as walkers, who are hunted by flesh-eating zombies. The group of survivors is led by police officer and sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes, who initially awakens from a coma in the series. Long-standing cast members of the television series include Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
