The Temptation to Go Home is a television series released in 2011. The story follows Lin Pin Ru, who marries Hong Shi Xian. Their relationship is compromised when Hong Shi Xian betrays her by engaging in an affair with Ai Li, who is Lin Pin Ru's best friend. During this period, Lin Pin Ru is pregnant with Hong Shi Xian's child. The narrative takes a turn when Lin Pin Ru and Hong Shi Xian are trapped on a boat in the middle of a beach. Both individuals fall into the water. Hong Shi Xian survives the incident, while Lin Pin Ru drowns and loses her child. On the same day that Lin Pin Ru drowns, a woman named Gao Shan Shan attempts suicide by drowning herself at the same beach. Following this event, Gao Shan Shan's brother, Gao Wen Yan, goes to the water to attempt to save his sister. The series explores the consequences of these intersecting lives and the resulting personal tragedies.
