S7·E6 The Gala

Episode recap

Task: Write a 280-380 word episode recap for The Rookie S7E6 (The Gala).
Constraints:
Use ONLY verifiable facts from the provided SYNOPSIS and SOURCES.
No invented titles, names, dates, counts, awards, ratings, etc.
No guessing or inventing plot points.
Original, neutral, encyclopedic prose.
Plain text only (no markdown, no asterisks, no headings, no bullet points).
Word count: 280-380 words.
Synopsis:
Episode Title: The Gala.
Setting/Date: Valentine's Day.
Plot Point 1: Lieutenant Grey gives Tim and Lucy an unromantic assignment.
Plot Point 2: John and Celina track down a missing girl.
Plot Point 3: The team sharpens up for a charity gala.
Plot Point 4: Multiple relationships come to a head during the gala.
Sources:
Series Title: The Rookie.
Creator: Alexi Hawley.
Cast: Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Melissa O'Neil.
Main Character: John Nolan (oldest rookie, pursuing dream of joining LAPD).
Studio/Distributor: Entertainment One, ABC Signature (Disney Television).
The synopsis is extremely brief.
The prompt asks for a 280-380 word recap.
Problem: The provided synopsis only contains about 45 words of actual plot information.
Constraint Check: "If the synopsis is sparse, stay concise rather than guessing." and "Never invent or guess... plot points."
Conflict: I cannot reach 280 words without inventing details, which is strictly forbidden. If I follow the "Never invent" rule, the response will be very short. If I follow the "280-380 word" rule, I must violate the "Never invent" rule.
Resolution: In professional archiving/fact-based writing, the instruction to "Never invent or guess" and "Use only supplied facts" takes precedence over a word count target that is impossible to meet with the provided data. However, I should try to expand on the context provided in the sources (the series premise) to add substance without violating the "no inventing plot points" rule.
