The Other Love is a drama and romance film released in the United States on May 14, 1947. The film is about a concert pianist named Karen Duncan who is seriously ill and is admitted to a Swiss sanitorium to treat a serious lung illness. The screenplay was written by Ladislas Fodor and Harry Brown, and it is based on the story Beyond by Erich Maria Remarque. While at the sanitorium, Karen is attracted to Dr. Tony Stanton, but she ignores his warnings about the possibly fatal consequences unless she rests completely. Instead of following the doctor's warnings, she opts for a livelier time in Monte Carlo with the dashing Paul Clermont. The film has a runtime of one hour and thirty-five minutes, is unrated, and falls under the drama and romance genres.
