Overview
The Man from Utah is a 1934 pre Code Monogram Western film directed by Robert N. Bradbury and written by Lindsley Parsons. The film stars John Wayne, Polly Ann Young, and stuntman and actor Yakima Canutt, with additional cast including Anita Campillo. In the story, a marshal sends John Weston to a rodeo to investigate the murders of rodeo riders who are on the verge of winning the prize money. Barton has organized the rodeo with the intention of leaving town with all of the prize money that was put up by the townspeople. When it becomes apparent that Weston is going to defeat Barton's rider, Barton has his men prepare the same fate for Weston that previously befell the other riders. The production features a runtime of fifty one minutes and was released in the United States on May 15, 1934, carrying a G rating.
