Overview

The I Inside is a 2004 psychological thriller directed by Roland Suso Richter. The screenplay was written by Michael Cooney and is based on his own play titled Point of Death. The film has no connection to the science-fiction novel of the same name by Alan Dean Foster. The story follows a man named Simon who awakens in a hospital after surviving a near-fatal accident. Due to amnesia, he has lost all memory of the previous two years of his life. As his past begins to return to him, Simon discovers that his brother has been killed and that he has married a woman he does not recognize. He is also haunted by visions of a woman he once loved. As the narrative progresses, Simon finds himself leaping through time between the years 2000 and 2002. The production features a cast including Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Polley, Piper Perabo, and Robert Sean Leonard. The film has a runtime of one hour and thirty minutes and was released in Belgium on March 21, 2004.
