Overview
The Greed of Man is a drama television series from Hong Kong that was first broadcast on TVB Jade in 1992. The story spans three decades, ranging from the 1970s to the 1990s. Told in reverse chronological order, the narrative begins in the present on June 7, 1994, at a time when the stock market rebounded after becoming volatile and crashing for the weekend. After trading stopped for the weekend, the Ting family makes the wrong bet, resulting in their entire fortune being wiped out and compounded by billions of dollars in debt. Following this, Ting Hai forces his sons to commit suicide by jumping off the top of the stock exchange building before following after them.
