Overview

The Forgotten Army is a war drama series released in 2020 that chronicles the experiences of the Indian National Army, also known as the Azad Hind Fauj. The narrative focuses on the efforts of soldiers who fought for the independence of India from British rule during the Second World War. The series follows the journey of Lieutenant Sodhi and a group of men and women who formed a daredevil unit after the British defeat in Singapore. Under the leadership of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, these soldiers undertook a march covering 3,884 kilometers from Singapore to Delhi. Despite their commitment to the cause of Indian freedom, the soldiers faced significant challenges regarding their size and scale, and they were labeled as traitors by the ruling establishment of the time. The production explores the heroic battle undertaken by these individuals in their pursuit of national liberation.
