The Clone is a Brazilian television series that explores the ethical and emotional complexities of human cloning within a cross-cultural romance. The story centers on Lucas, a young man who falls in love with Jade during a trip to Morocco, a relationship complicated by their different cultural and religious backgrounds. After returning to Brazil following the death of his twin brother Diogo, Lucas is unknowingly cloned by Albieri, a scientist and close family friend who uses cells taken from him. Twenty years later, Lucas, Jade, and the clone find themselves entangled in a complex love triangle. The series was created by Glória Perez and features a cast including Murilo Benício, Giovanna Antonelli, Vera Fischer, and Reginaldo Faria. It originally aired between 2001 and 2002.
