It's stroke-stroke-stroke and bail-bail-bail as the pursuit continues down ever more tiny waterways! And finally on one foggy evening, as they approach Washington, D.C., the two competing vessels are so close that—stroke-bail, bail-stroke—their echoes are even writing their own dialogue!
