Overview

The Auschwitz Report is a drama, history, and war film released in the United States on September 23, 2021. The film is directed by Peter Bebjak and has a runtime of one hour and thirty-five minutes. The cast features Noel Czuczor, Peter Ondrejicka, Florian Panzner, and Jan Nedbal. The film is a fictionalized tale based on the novel by Alfred Wetzler called What Dante did not See, telling the true story of Freddy and Walter, two young Slovak Jews deported to Auschwitz in 1942. After meticulous planning, they manage to escape on April 10, 1944. They hide for three days and escape once the search for them is over. While the inmates they left behind courageously stand their ground against the Nazi officers, the two men are driven on by the hope that their evidence could save lives.
