Overview
The Accident is a British drama television miniseries starring Sarah Lancashire that first aired on Channel 4 from 24 October 2019. In the Welsh town of Glyngolau, tragedy strikes when an accident occurs on a construction site, resulting in the deaths of a group of trespassing children. As grief turns to anger, the families affected cry out for justice. However, the gears of justice turn slowly and challenging truths begin to emerge as those in charge fail to deliver closure for the town. Amidst this turmoil, it falls to Polly, the Council Leader's wife, to hold the community together while also caring for her daughter, who is the sole survivor of the collapse. Ultimately, it is up to Polly to lead the community on the march for justice, regardless of the cost.
