Overview

Ten Count to the Future is a Japanese television drama series that originally premiered on April 14, 2022. The program, which aired on TV Asahi, features a cast including Takuya Kimura, Hikari Mitsushima, Ken Yasuda, and Yuki Uchida. The story follows Kirisawa Shogo, a man who was once a brilliant amateur boxer during his high school years, having achieved four championship victories. Following his university studies, Kirisawa quit the sport. His life later fell into disarray due to a series of personal hardships, including the death of his wife, injuries, and other misfortune, leaving him without hope or a desire for the future. He eventually takes on part-time work to survive. His circumstances change when a friend requests that he return to his former high school to coach the boxing team. Kirisawa accepts the position, leading him to engage with the students. The series is also known by its native Japanese title, Mirai e no 10 Kaunto.
