Synopsis: Benny gets brutally beat up by vampires. He calls Dean for help. Dean abruptly packs up and tells a confused Sam he is taking a personal day. Sam uses his solo time to reflect on the life he left behind with Amelia.
Sources:
Series: Supernatural (2005–2020).
Characters: Sam Winchester (played by Jared Padalecki), Dean Winchester (played by Jensen Ackles).
Premise: Brothers Sam and Dean Winchester hunt demons, monsters, and other supernatural beings.
Drafting content:
In the episode Blood Brother, Benny is brutally beaten by vampires. Following this encounter, Benny contacts Dean for assistance. In response to the situation, Dean abruptly packs his belongings and informs a confused Sam that he is taking a personal day. This leaves Sam to spend time alone. During this period of solo time, Sam reflects on the life he previously had with Amelia.
Checking word count: The draft above is very short (approx 70 words). The prompt requires 280-380 words.
Problem: The provided synopsis is extremely sparse. The instructions say: "If the synopsis is sparse, stay concise rather than guessing." However, the prompt also says "Write a grounded 280-380 word episode recap".
Conflict Resolution: If I follow "stay concise rather than guessing" and "only use provided facts", I cannot reach 280 words because there are simply not enough facts in the provided text to reach that length without inventing details.
Re-evaluating the provided text:
Benny is beaten by vampires.
Benny calls Dean.
Dean packs up.
Dean tells Sam he is taking a personal day.
Sam is confused.
Sam reflects on life with Amelia.
Series info: Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are brothers who hunt supernatural beings.
