The television series Siren is an American fantasy drama that premiered on Freeform. The series is set in the coastal town of Bristol Cove, which is known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. The story follows Ryn Fisher, a young siren who comes to the town looking for her abducted older sister. The series explores the battle between man and sea as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. Siren was created by Eric Wald and Dean White and stars Eline Powell, Alex Roe, Fola Evans-Akingbola, and Ian Verdun. The first season included 10 episodes and the series premiered on March 29, 2018. The show is also available to watch on Disney+. The series is based on Eric Wald and Dean White's mermaid story, The Deep, and was formerly known as The Deep.
