Overview

Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Kings is a television series set during the historical Sengoku period, a time characterized by constant warfare between numerous competing factions. The narrative focuses on the power struggles between various leaders and their subordinates. Among the prominent figures featured are the one-eyed leader Date Masamune and the imposing Takeda Shingen. Sanada Yukimura, who serves as a fiercely loyal subordinate to Takeda Shingen, frequently engages in combat with Date Masamune. These duels between the two warriors are often interrupted by external circumstances. In one notable instance, both men attempt to pursue a leader named Imagawa. Their confrontation is forced to a halt when Imagawa tries to escape the battlefield using body doubles to evade capture. Consequently, Yukimura and Masamune are compelled to abandon their direct conflict to pursue separate targets as they chase the fleeing Imagawa and his decoys.
